Lina (Padeletti) Lazzari

Rotterdam – Lina Lazzari, age 92, passed away on Wednesday, December 13th, 2017 at Glendale Nursing Home. Lina was born in Aulla, Italy to her late parents, Antonio and Elvira (Valentini) Padeletti. For over 50 years, Lina was a parishioner of Our Lady of Assumption Church and Our Lady Queen of Peace, faithfully attending daily mass there. She was a wonderful cook and baker, who especially enjoyed sharing her homemade pasta and ravioli at family gatherings; she never missed a holiday. A talented seamstress, Lina was always willing to help mend or repair family and friends clothes. Lina was predeceased by her dear husband of 50 years, Nello Lazzari. She is survived by one brother, Sergio Padeletti (Amelia), niece, Lina Maglianese (Diego) and great-niece, Martina. She is also survived by many cousins in Italy and America. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, from 2-4pm at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave. in Rotterdam. Funeral services will begin on Monday morning at 9:15am at the funeral home and will be followed by a funeral mass at 10am at Our Lady Queen of Peace. Entombment will be in St. Cyril and Method Cemetery. Lina’s family wishes to thank the caring staff and Dr. Jung Wen Chen at Glendale Nursing Home for the loving care they gave to her during her stay. Also they wish to thank the numerous family members and friends who were very attentive to Lina throughout her life and especially during her stay at Glendale.
