Lewis R Denovio

Schenectady- Lewis R. DeNovio passed away on Sunday, May 16, 2021. Born in Schenectady, NY, Lewis was the son of the late Anthony and Virginia DeNovio. He was married to the late Jean DeNovio. They were happily married for 38 years. Lewis enjoyed taking trips to the Saratoga Racetrack to watch the horse races, and to Atlantic City. He was skilled in gambling, especially poker. Above all, he loved going to his grandchildren’s athletic events to cheer them on. He joined the United States Army in 1953 where he served his country honorably and faithfully until 1955. He is survived by his daughters; Audrey DeNovio(Brian Hasto), Laura Norris, and Lisa (Rich) Giordano, his 4 grandsons, and granddaughter; Andy Norris, Tyler Norris, Jake Norris, Josh Giordano, and Megan Giordano, and many loving friends and relatives. He is predeceased by his parents, Anthony and Virginia, his wife, Jean, and his brother, George. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at 10am at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 1255 Pleasant St. Schenectady, NY 12303. Burial will follow at St. Cyril and Method Cemetery in Rotterdam. In lieu of flowers the family requests any donations be sent to Community Hospice, 310 South Manning Blvd. Albany, NY 12208, or to the American Cancer Society, P.O.
