Rotterdam, NY-Mr. Levio Angelozzi, 96, formerly of Helderberg Ave., passed away peacefully on Wednesday afternoon, June 3, 2015 at Ellis Residential and Rehab Center. He was born on May 10, 1919 in Schenectady, son of the late Dominick and Jeanette (Buscio) Angelozzi and graduated from Mont Pleasant High School.Levio was united in marriage on September 16, 1945 with his wife Eva, who passed away in 1976.He proudly served our country with the U.S. Army during World War II enlisting on Aug. 21, 1942 and was honorably discharged on November 21, 1945.Levio was employed by the General Electric Company retiring after 40 years of dedicated service in 1981.He was a communicant of Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, Rotterdam. He is survived by his son, Levio B. Angelozzi and Lorraine Smith of Schenectady; eight grandchildren, Carrie Natoli, Tanya Soroko, Michael Angelozzi, Nicole Angelozzi, Shawn Smith, Travis Smith, Jason Smith and Tye Smith, eight great grandchildren, Nicholas and Justin, Lauren, Brady, Olivia, Gianna, Vincenza, Gemma, Mia, Logan and Avia; four step brothers, John, Victor, Dominick and Joseph Micalizzi and a step sister, Santina Micalizzi; many nieces, nephews, cousins and in law.He was preceded in death by his daughter, Patricia Fleming who passed away in 2012; his daughter in law, Pamela; his brother, Dominick Angelozzi; sister, Evelyn Goulass; and step brother, Fred Micalizzi. The funeral will commence on Saturday, June 6, 2015 at 11 am from DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave., Rotterdam.Relatives and friends may pay their respects at the funeral home on Saturday, from 10 am until 11, prior to the funeral service.Procession will follow to St. Cyril Cemetery where he will be laid to rest.Military honors will be offered by the U.S. Army.Kindly consider memorial contributions to a charity of your choice.The family would like to thank the caring staff at Ellis Residential and Rehabilitation, Schenectady for their tender love and care.
