Lena Qualantone

Rotterdam – Lena Qualantone passed away at her home on Thursday January 19, 2017. Born in Schenectady, she was the daughter of Sabastian and Mary Cascio Qualantone. Lena was educated in Schenectady schools and then was a factory worker at General Electric Co. in Schenectady for many years before retiring. She is survived by her sister-in-law; Jean (the late James) Qualantone. Her nephew; Martin Qualantone. Nieces; Lucy Iozzio, Gail Clark, Jo-Ann Pettinelli, Arlene Iacovella, Gloria DeLucia and Marie Palmer. Lena is also survived by several great nieces and nephews. Along with her parents she was predeceased by her siblings; Jennie Ragozzino, Nick, Carmen, Martin, Mary, John, Joseph, Rose, Anthony and James Qualantone. The family extends their special thanks to Right at Home/Albany, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9 a.m. Wednesday at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church 1255 Pleasant St., Schenectady. Burial will follow at St. Cyril’s Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made in Lena’s memory to the Susan G. Komen Foundation P. O. Box 650309 Dallas, TX 75265.
