Lauraine Gail (Crouch) Demers

Duanesburg - Lauraine Gail Demers, 70, of Western Turnpike, passed away Saturday March 9, 2013 at the Wilkinson Resident Healthcare Center in Amsterdam after a long illness. Born in Niskayuna on September 4, 1942, Lauraine was the daughter of Phillip and Florence Van Alstyne Crouch. Lauraine will be remembered as a kind hearted and loving mother. She is survived by her 4 children; George P. Demers of Delanson, NY, Robin Harris of Florida, Holly Smullen of Burtonsville, NY and Mary Stockton of California. Lauraine is also survived by her sister, Phyllis, 11 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by several brothers and sisters. A calling hour, to which relatives and friends are invited, will be held Thursday from 9-10 a.m. at DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home 1605 Helderberg Ave., Rotterdam. A funeral service will immediately follow at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna.
