Laura J (Calabro) Reggio

Rotterdam- Laura J.Reggio, 87, of Bruno Street passed away peacefully on January 6, 2016 at St .Mary's Hospital Amsterdam. She was born in Schenectady on October 3, 1928 a daughter of the late Sabestino and Josephine Cagnina Calabro. She was educated in local schools. Laura married her beloved husband Gino Reggio in May 13, 1950. Laura is fondly remembered by her family as a devoted wife and mother and grandmother. She was locallyrenowned for her cooking, was an avid animal lover wild and domestic. Besides her beloved husband Gino she is survivedby her son Richard and his wife Debra Reggio of Berlin NJ and her granddaughtersChristina Reggio of PA and VictoriaReggio of NJ and her sister Mary Roberts of Schenectady and many nieces and nephews. Laura was predeceased by her daughter Gina Reggio in 1995 and her brothers Santo and Joseph Calabro.. Family and friends are invited to call at the DeMarco Stone Funeral Home Inc 1605 Helderberg Ave Rotterdam on Tuesday January 12, 2016 from 8:30 to 9:30 am. Immediately following a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:15 am at St. Madeline Sophie's Church Carmen Road.Entombment to follow at Schenectady Memorial Park Rotterdam. Memorial donations maybe made to St .Mary's Hospital Amsterdam.
