Kimberly Houck Gordon

Kimberly Houck Gordon, 54, passed away unexpectedly at home on Monday March 23, 2026. She was born in Niskayuna on July 12, 1971 to Gail Dodge Houck and the late John D. “Jack” Houck. A lifelong resident of the Schenectady area, she was a graduate of Schalmont High School, and then worked as a Taxpayer Services Rep for NYS Tax and Finance for over 35 years. Kim loved watching the Yankees and going to the drive-ins. She loved her fur babies, especially cuddling with Buddy.

Kim is survived by her husband of 15 years, Warren S. Gordon, Jr.; her mother, Gail Houck; her brother, John D. “Jack” Houck, Jr.; nephews, Cameron Houck, Mason Varay, and Maxwell Varay; niece, Addison Varay; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday March 31st from 1 to 3pm at the DeMarco Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave., Rotterdam, followed by a funeral service at 3pm. She will then be privately cremated. A burial in Schenectady Memorial Park Cemetery will take place at a later date.
