Kevin Swart

Kevin Swart, 39, of Schenectady, died suddenly on Sunday, December 8, 2013. Kevin was born in Niskayuna and graduated from Burnt Hills High School in 1992. He worked for many years at area restaurants and has been working as a stylist for ten years and most recently at Serendipity Salon & Spa. Kevin loved the ocean, and was a fantastic cook.He also enjoyed helping people with interior design and worked at many Fashion and Hair trade shows both locally and in New York City. Kevin was predeceased by his grandparents; Divina Brooks, Anthony Brooks, Frederick Swart, Fred Dinkelman and Jessica Harpine. He is survived by his parents, Gary (Stephen) Swart of Schenectady and Deborah (Viktor) Harpine of Scotia,his partner, David Rossi of Clifton Park,his sister Cori (Stephen) Lownsbury of Schenectady, his brother Andrew (Heather) Harpine and his grandmother Charlotte Swart, aunts and uncles; Linda and Victor Caban, Fred Dinkelman, Gordon and Sue Harpine, Louise and Norm Campbell, his great aunt, Marie Foote, nephew;Tyler Lownsbury and his nieceGiada Lownsbury and his stepfather Steve (Suzie) Harpine. Kevin is also survived by many cousins and close and loving friends. Calling hours will be held on Saturday, from 10 am to 1 pm at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave. Funeral services will begin at 1 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at the convenience of the family at St. Joseph's Cemetery.
