Kevin R Newcomb

Rotterdam - Kevin Roger Newcomb, 63, passed away on Sunday, November 27th, 2016 at his home with his family by his side. Born in Norfolk, VA, Kevin was the son of Jacqueline Newcomb and the late Kenneth R. Newcomb. Kevin worked for many years as a dispatcher for the Schenectady Police Department. He is predeceased by his dad, Kenneth Newcomb and his brother, David Newcomb. Kevin leaves behind his loving wife, Mary (Cotugno) Newcomb and his children, Kristopher R. Newcomb and Kariann Newcomb. He also leaves behind his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Marjorie and Donald Cotugno,sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Kathy and Michael Surin, nieces, Kristin and Kelsey, sister-in-law, Nancy Cotugno, step-mother, Erika, sister-in-law, Linda Newcomb, niece and nephews, Jennifer,David Jr. and Jason, his best friends, Mike Brown, Mike Egan and Steve Mayhew and his beloved k-9 companion, Bella. A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 1 from 4-7pm at DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave., Rotterdam. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Funeral services will begin on Friday at 8:15am at the funeral home, followed at 9am at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 1255 Pleasant St., Schenectady where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated. Interment will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Kevin’s name can be made to Paige Elementary School with checks made out to Paige School PTO and sent to 104 Elliott Ave., Schenectady, NY 12304.
