Guilderland- Kathleen M. Lozoff, 81, formerly of Morningside Dr., passed away Tuesday August 24th at Albany Medical Center. Born in Albany, she was the daughter of Floyd and Ruth LeClaire. Kathleen served our country in the United States Air Force from 1957-1960. Kathleen worked for the State of New York for 20 years before retiring as a Real Property Examiner/Appraiser for the Stratton Air Force Base in Glenville. Kathleen attended both St. Madeleine Sophie Church in Guilderland and Blessed Sacrament Church in Albany. She also was a volunteer for many years for Community Hospice and the rape crisis center. Her husband, Jerome Lozoff passed away in 2008. She is survived by her daughter Collette (Paula) Lozoff. Her two grandchildren Simone and Sophia. Her sister Cherie (Alonzo) Frith. Her sister-in-law Marcia Heffron and several nephews and many beloved cousins. Kathleen is also survived by her extended family Carmen, Allyson, Lucette and Jared. Calling hours will be held Thursday (today) from 5-7 pm at DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home 5216 Western Turnpike (just west of Carman Rd.) Guilderland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 am Friday at St. Madeleine Sophie Church 3500 Carman Rd., Guilderland. Burial, with military honors will follow at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie.
