Katherine L Levielle

Katherine L. LeVielle, 65, of Rotterdam passed away at her home on Sunday, April 24, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Schenectady, Katherine is the daughter of the late Robert and Adele (Levanavich) LeVielle. Katherine worked for many years in customer service at Hannaford in Rotterdam. She dedicated her life to raising her children. She had a kind heart, always willing to help any person or animal in need. Besides her parents, Katherine is predeceased by her sister, Adella Jerome. She leaves behind her lifelong love of 49 years, Stanley P. Rotter of Rotterdam, her children, Tina L. DeMartino (Dean) of Duanesburg, Deborah A. Rotter of Rotterdam, Robert J. Rotter of Rotterdam and Jason S. Rotter of Rotterdam and her grandchildren, Justin, Mia, Ava and Ella. She is also survived by two brothers, Sonny LeVielle and Mickey LeVielle as well as several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 30 at 11am at DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave., Rotterdam with a visitation held prior from 10-11am. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Inurnment will be private at St. John the Baptist Cemetery in Schenectady. In lieu of flowers, donations in Katherine's name can be made to the Animal Protective Foundation, 53 Maple Ave., Scotia, NY 12302.
