Rotterdam- Julia Pavlic, 91, formerly of Quaker Street NY Passed away peacefully at home on October 6 2015 surrounded by her family. She was born in Bronx NY on February 19, 1924 a daughter of the late John and Edith Coppolo De Cata. She married her beloved husband Stanley Pavlic on April 28, 1946. Stanley predeceased her on June 4 2002. For twenty years she and her husband co-owned and operated the Quaker Inn in Quaker Street NY. Julia was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW Post 2303, a member of the American Ex- Prisoners of War Ladies Auxiliary and was a member of the Ladies of Mt Carmel and a communicant of Mt Carmel. She is survived by her son, Rensselaer County Legislator Gary Pavlic of Troy, her companion Tony Pasquariello, her brother Michael De Cata, beloved niece Mary Ann Ricciardi, family Friend Don Haag, and many nieces and nephews. Besides her husband Stanley, she was predeceased by four sisters, Angelina Riggi, Rose Pepicelli, Mary Ricciardi, and Madeline Romano. Family and friends are invited to call at the DeMarco Stone Funeral Home Inc 1605 Helderberg Ave Rotterdam on Saturday October 10, 2015 from 9 am to 10:30 am. Immediately following a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am at Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church. Internment will follow at St Cyril's Cemetery Duanesburg Road Rotterdam. Julia's loving ways and kind generosity will always be remembered by her family and friends.She will remain in our hearts forever. The family respectfully requests that memorial donations may be made in Julia's name to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Capital Region Inc. and/or the City Mission of Schenectady.
