Judith “Judy” Yauchler, age 77, passed away at her home in Clearwater, Florida on May 10th, 2026. She was born on September 3rd, 1948 in Amsterdam, New York to Raymond Weakley and Katherine Blakeslee Weakley.
Judy is survived by her husband of 58 years, Gene P. Yauchler, son, Geno (Angela) Yauchler, daughter, Marcy Katherine Yauchler and Ryan Bauer; grandsons, Gregory (Danielle) Johnson and Alexander (Haillee) Johnson; great-granddaughter, Willow Johnson; and siblings, Raymond Weakley, James Weakley, Joan Czernis, Jeanette Swanker, Geraldine Briggs, David (Delores) Weakley; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Whenever there was a big family event, Judy was the hostess with the mostest. Since she was such a fabulous cook, she won 1st place at the Mariaville Lake Soup Cook-Off, the award being a soup bowl on a plate. Judy also belonged to the Ladies Auxiliary in Mariaville. She was a very proud mother of her two children, two grandsons, and the light of her life, great-granddaughter, Willow. She will be greatly missed by a ton of family and friends.
She is predeceased by her parents, and siblings, Diane K. Jones, Olive Mergenthaler, Gary Weakley, Richard Weakley, Roger Weakley and Gene Weakley; Emma Wilson; brothers-in-law, Andrew Wilson, William Czernis, James Jones, James Swanker and Fred Briggs; sisters-in-law, Joyce Weakley, Carol Weakley, Ethel Weakley and Barbara Weakley.
Services will be held on Saturday, May 16th, at DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, Rotterdam, NY, beginning with a Visitation from 11 AM to 1 PM, followed by a Funeral Service at 1 PM. Burial will immediately follow at Grove Cemetery, Delanson, NY.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 30th, at 1 PM, at the family’s home in Clearwater, FL.
