Judith A Nelson

Rotterdam, N.Y.- Judith Ann Nelson,70,died peacefully on November 5, 2013 after a prolonged illness. Judith was born April 9, 1943 in Schenectady, N.Y. the daughter of the late George and Cora (Marshall) King. She was the beloved wife of 52 years to Harry Nelson whom she married on April 30, 1961; beloved mother of the late Kathleen Carroll; beloved mother- in- law of James (Lucia) Carroll;doting grandmother of James M.Carroll and John R. Carroll; loving great-grandmother of Shannen and Brayden Carroll; beloved sister of the late George (Angela) King, William King, Gertrude King, Catherine (Fredrick) Lapan, Elizabeth (Douglas) Fuller, Nancy (William) Randle, Janice (Kenneth) Dashnaw.Judith is also survived by a beloved sister- in law Noreen King and many nieces and nephews. A calling period will be held Wednesday November 13, from 10 to 12 noon at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, Rotterdam. Afuneral service will immediately follow at noon, the Rev. Vincent Ciotoli officiating. Burial will take place in Schenectady Memorial Park. Judith's family would like to thank the staff of Capital Living Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for their help and support of both Judith and her family during these difficult times.
