Josephine Jo Wilder

Rotterdam- Josephine “Jo” Wilder, 91, passed away peacefully at Capital Living Nursing Home on January 4, 2017. She was born in Schenectady on Christmas Eve 1925 along with her twin sister Julia, daughter of the late John and Anteresa Francolino Martelli. She was educated in local schools. For several years she work at GE as a Secretary and bookkeeping and Keypunching. From 1975 to 1985 she owned and operated J. Wilder Keypunching Service. Jo is lovingly remembered as a loving wife mother and grandmother and great grandmother. She was a member of Church of Christ in Niskayuna since 1958. She taught bible school, visited the sick and volunteered for many church activities. Jo is survived by her daughter Ann and her husband Gary Palmo of Guilderland, her son Peter and his wife NancyWilder of Philadelphia PA , her grandchildren Marissa Palmo of Delmar,David (Wendy) Palmo of Troy, Justin (Cynthia) Wilderof Chincoteague VA and Jacob Wilder and two great grandchildren Arthur and Izabelle. Jo was predeceased by her husband Edward A. Wilder in 2006 her son Edward Wilder in 2006 , her daughter in law Gloria Wilder in 2009 and her son Jonathon in 2014. Family and friends are invited to call at the DeMarco Stone Funeral Home Inc 1605 Helderberg Ave Rotterdam on January 10, 2017 from 10 am to 11:30 am. Funeral services will begin at the funeral home at 11:30am. Immediately following interment will be in Memory’s Garden Colonie.
