Josephine Sirgiovanni

Josephine Sirgiovanni, 95, passed peacefully on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at Kingsway Arms Nursing Center. Josephine was born in New Canaan, CT. the daughter of the late Rocco and Grazia Parise Sirgiovanni. She grew up in Schenectady and graduated from Nott Terrace High School. Josephine worked for many years at the Children’s Home on Union St. in Schenectady. In addition to her parents, Josephine is also predeceased by her brothers, Dominick Sirgiovanni, Charles Sirgiovanni and her sisters, Alice Folus, Theresa Canali. She is survived by her nephew, Paul (Susan) Folus of Schenectady, as well as several other nephews, nieces, great nephews and nieces and her longtime caregiver Rosalie Fountain A calling hour will be held on Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 am at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave. Funeral services will begin at the funeral home at 10:30 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery in Niskayuna.
