Rotterdam, NY-Mrs. Josephine (DeGasperis) Minard, 94, of Rotterdam, passed peacefully on Saturday, March 18, 2023. A lifelong Schenectady resident, she was the sister of the late Nicholas DeGasperis, Edith Pidgeon, Antionette Vellano and Michael DeGasperis. She was also predeceased by her husbands, Joseph Minard and August DiManno Sr. Josephine was a very active member of the DAV Chapter 88 Auxiliary and served as past president for many years. Josephine is survived by her son, August (Augie) DiManno and his wife Margaret (Peggy) of Albany and is also survived by her nieces and nephews, Anthony (Holly) Vellano, Paul (Joney) Vellano, Robert DeGasperis (Kathy), Joyce Gallo (Albert), Gerald Carnivale (Susan), Paul Carnivale (Mary), Mark Carnivale, and Ann Marie Zinser. She is also survived by many great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her niece, Patricia Krugler, and nephews, Joseph Vellano, Joseph DeGasperis, Thomas DiManno, and David Eliseo. In lieu of floral tributes, those wishing to remember Josephine in a special way may send contributions to St. Anthony’s Church, 331 Seward Place, Schenectady, NY 12305. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to Josephine’s Mass of Christian Burial, commencing at 11 am on Thursday, March 23, 2023 from St. Anthony’s Church, Schenectady (331 Seward Place) with the Rev. Richard Carlino, pastor, officiating. Procession will follow to St. Anthony’s Cemetery, Glenville where she will be laid to rest. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, Rotterdam.
