Josephine "Jose" (Manuli) Ferraro

Josephine "Josie" Santa (Manuli) Ferraro, 89 , formerly of Schenectady, passed away, while surrounded by her loving family, on Tuesday, February 10, 2015 in Williamsville, NY. Josephine was born in Schenectady, the daughter of the late Natale and Benedetta Salerno Manuli,and spent most of her life there until several years ago when she moved to Buffalo to be near here daughter Mimi. Josephine worked as an Auditor with the New York State Dept. of Taxation & Finance in Albany, and retired in 1992 after 25 years of service. She was the beloved wife of the late Frank Ferraro who predeceased Josie in 1979.She was also predeceased by her sister, Mary Caldara and nephew, Cliff Mango.Josephine leaves behind three children, Dr. Nalton (Dr. Merri) Ferraro of Boston, MA,AngeloFerraro ofSouth Carolina and Ms Mary Mimi (William) Ferraro of Amherst,NY.,six grandchildren that she doted upon: Sarah Ferraro, Frank Ferraro, Megan, Thomas, Sean and Bryan Smith, her nieces;Bettina Caldara, Maranda Mango andNancy Mango. Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 4 to 7pm at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave. Funeral services will begin on Monday, 10:15 from the funeral home, followed at11 amby a Mass of Christian Burial at the Church of St. Paul the Apostle, 2733 Albany St., Schenectady.
