Conway, Joseph D. Albany- Joseph David Conway passed away at his home in Colonie on January 9th 2017. Joe was born to Matthew J. Conway and Anna (Slattery) on Altamont Ave. in Schenectady January 29th, 1937. He grew up on Cornell Street with his four brothers and sister. He was an altar boy with his brothers at St. Luke’s Church. He graduated from Mount Pleasant in 1955 and attended Siena College and then joined the Army in 1957. Joe loved his retreat in Orwell Vermont, hunting with his friends, new cars, breakfast with friends, watching the history channel, had a great love of literature, and of his family. For those of you who were lucky enough to know Joe, will remember his great sense of humor and fun loving spirt. He was “the fun” brother, uncle, father, and friend. Good natured and generous he was someone you could rely upon in difficult times. Over the past several years he battled health issues with humor, courage, and with the extraordinary care of his wife Florence of which we are all so very grateful. Joe is predeceased by brothers Mathew J. Conway Jr., Patrick F. Conway, Francis J. Conway. Joe is survived by his wife, Florence (Hawes) Conway, his daughter Anne Mary Conway, his son Joseph D. Conway Jr., daughter in-law Kathryn M. (Klobukowski), grandchildren Joseph D. III, Mary Kathryn, brother John E.
