Rotterdam – John G. Polsinelli, age 77, passed away on Monday, January 1st, 2018 at Ellis Hospital. Born in Arpino, Italy, John was the son of the late Dominic and Mary Polsinelli. John worked for many years as a machinist at General Electric. He also worked as a self employed painting contractor for much of his life. John loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as taking rides and having coffee with his wife, Gerry. He was a member of the Rotterdam Elks. John is predeceased by his siblings, Elena D’Orazio, Mario Polsinelli, Antonio Polsinelli and Sam Polsinelli. Left behind to cherish his memory is his wife of 49 years, Gerry Giello Polsinelli, his daughters, Lisa Polsinelli Frank (Chris Corlew) and Kimberly Corey (David), 4 grandchildren and 5 beloved great grandchildren. He also leaves behind his siblings, Vince Polsinelli, Vito Polsinelli (Joyce), Rita Califiore (late Carm) and Donato Polsinelli. Calling hours will be Thursday from 5-7pm at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave. in Rotterdam. Funeral services will begin at 8:15am on Friday morning at the funeral home and will be followed by a funeral mass at 9am at St. John the Evangelist Church on Union Street.
