Rotterdam – John Marshall, 79, was called home Friday, February 2nd, 2018. He was born in Schenectady in 1938 to George and Frances. He attended Draper High School and joined the US Navy in 1955. John was a truck driver for 65 years #294 Teamsters Union, New York State Supply Support and NYS Department of Transportation. He was predeceased by his parents, George and Frances, his brother, Bill and wife, Rosalind. John is survived by his two daughters, Rosalie and Frances, his son-in-law Ed and three grandchildren that he loved dearly, Johnny, Katie and Gabby. His beloved dogs will miss him, “Big” Sam, Lola and Pablo. He was known and loved by many. We will all miss his deer and fishing stories. The Adirondack deer will miss him. John was known by many for being a tough, strong, straight talking guy but to those who knew him best he was an amazing friend, dad, and Papa! He left a legacy and will be dearly missed. A visitation will be held on Saturday, February 10th from 3-6pm at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave. in Rotterdam. Services will begin at 6pm. Arrangements are by R.J.
