John M Marra Jr

Latham, NY-Mr. John M. Marra, Jr., 76, of Latham, formerly of Rotterdam, passed away suddenly on New Years Day, 2016. He was born on February 1, 1939, in Schenectady, NY son of the late John M. and Eleanor (Teller) Marra, Sr., and educated in Rotterdam schools.He was joined in marriage with the former Mary Ozimek in Albany on September, 29, 1975.He was employed for many years with the General Electric Company, Schenectady. An honorably discharged US Veteran, he proudly served with the Army.Mr. Marra was an accomplished musician and loved nothing more than to play his guitar.He will be remembered by many for his wonderful musical talents.His family and friends will miss him dearly. He leaves his wife, Mary at home; his children, Michael Marra and wife Amy of Rotterdam, Marcy Mango and husband Bob of Schenectady, and John Marra, III of Latham; a brother, James Marra and wife Mary of CT and his beloved grandchildren, Joey and Aiden and Steven and Amanda.
