John F Liska Iii

John F. Liska III, 73, of Schenectady, died peacefully on Monday, July 25, 2016 at Pathways Nursing & Rehabilitation in Niskayuna. Born in Hamlet, NC., John was the son of the late John and Dorothy Comiskey Liska Jr. He graduated from Burnt Hills High School in 1962. John worked as a warehouse worker at Caracciolo and Sons in Schenectady for many years. He also served in the National Guard. John was a jokester, and loved to make people laugh. He enjoyed fishing and country music. In addition to his parents, john was also predeceased by his sister, Betty Morris. He is survived by his children; Peter J. Liska of Schenectady, Patty A. Burnor (Brian) of Schenectady, Heather M. Makowski of Rotterdam and Michael C. Liska, also of Rotterdam, eight grandchildren and one great grandchild. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 6 to 8 pm at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave. Funeral services will begin at 8 pm at the funeral home.
