John J. Lang passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 16, 2025 surrounded by his family.
John was born in Amsterdam and was the son of the late John and Eleanor (Barkley) Lang. John is survived by his wife Latefa (Macari) and son Aaron (Nicole) and two grandchildren Taylor and Kaitlyn. He is also survived by his two sisters Penny (Richard) Conti, and Trisha (Steven) Mroczka, brother-in-law Paul (Erin) Macari and sister-in-law Michele L’Hommedieu as well as several nieces and nephews.
John enjoyed many hobbies, but his favorite was participating in Civil War reenactments.
Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours at St Madeleine Sophie Church, 3500 Carman Road, Schenectady 12306 from 10:00am to 11:00am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am. Burial will be at St Cyril Cemetery, 611 Duanesburg Rd., Schenectady 12306.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in John’s memory to Tunnel to Towers Foundation (www.t2t.org).
