John Kost Jr

Schenectady - John Kost Jr., 61, passed away at Albany Medical Center on Sunday, October 3rd, 2021. John was born in Schenectady to his parents, Ann Catrambone Kost and the late John Kost Sr. He graduated from Mont Pleasant High School, SCCC and earned his bachelor's degree from the College of St. Rose. For over 30 years, John worked at the General Electric Co. After retirement, John traveled around the country in his motorhome watching all the auto races that he so loved. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Beth Allen Kost; his mother, Ann Kost of Schenectady; sister, Kathy (Jerry) Adach of Schenectady; nieces, Kristen (Joe) Cashera of Schenectady and Nicole Adach of Boston; his sisters-in-law, Cathy Devine of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Dawn (Bob) Ferrier of Summerville, SC and Elaine (Dan) Gregoire of Goose Creek, SC as well as several cousins, nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 5-7pm at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave., Rotterdam. Please wear masks while attending. We would like to give a special thank you to NY Oncology and Hematology, especially Dr. Kambam and staff and Albany Medical Center, especially Dr. Hand and staff for their dedication to John's care during his illness. We are truly grateful for the support and kindness of our dear friends and racing family. John loved animals and so enjoyed spending time with his dogs, Lucky and Princess.
