John H "Johnboy" Ballard Jr

Troy - John H. Ballard Jr. “Johnboy” 69 of Troy died Sunday November 22, 2020. He is survived by his wife Florence, and was the father of three daughters; Tabatha, Lucinda (Roy) & Jeannie (Azell) and 4 grandchildren;William Hamlin, Jimmy Hamlin and Ariana & Ace Shuluwa He is also survived by his siblings, Robert (Ann Marie) Ballard, Thomas (Lita) Ballard, Debra (Mike) Smith, William (Sherry) Ballard and Darlene (Pamela) Ballard and Jane (Nelson) Laffer, his stepsisters; Amelia (Robert) Roy, and Lucie (Dave) Smith; his stepbrother Peter (Diana) Lefco, as well as many aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, John H. Ballard Sr. and Madeline Ballard Godfrey and his brother Donald W. Ballard. Our Johnboy was a devoted husband who loved his wife dearly, a very proud father and ecstatic about his grandchildren. He was a happy go lucky guy, with a spirit that could not be broken even in the toughest of times. He was an inspiration for all of us. He shared his experiences and imagination through paintings, poems, prayers, many letters and homemade cards. Private services will be held at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Troy.
