John "Jack" Wade (Kriss)

Glenville – John “Jack” Wade (Kriss), 79, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday January 3, 2026. Born in Ann Arbor, Michigan Jack was the son of Theodore and Bette (Truesdell) Kriss.

A lifelong Schenectady area resident Jack was a member of the housekeeping staff at the Hallmark Nursing Home in Schenectady retiring after 30 years of service.

Jack was an amazing and treasured brother along with being a devoted uncle. He was a beloved ARC consumer and will be remembered as a lifelong Elvis Presley fan and also a devoted NY Mets, NY Yankees and Green Bay Packers fan. Jack was the Eternal Chairman of the Board of the Wednesday Wing Nighters.

He is survived by his brothers Joe Kriss and Ted (Bonnie) Kriss along with his nephews Joe and Jason Kriss.

Along with his parents Jack was predeceased by his brother Gary Michael Kriss.

The family extends special thanks to all the wonderful and amazing ARC and Care Design New York people who have so selflessly and ceaselessly supported, loved, cheered on and guided Jack (and his family) for over 50 years. You are angels. We love you! And you all deserve a huge raise.

Visiting hours will be held Thursday from 10-12 pm at DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home 1605 Helderberg Ave., Rotterdam.

A 12 noon funeral service will immediately follow.

He will be laid to rest at Parkview Cemetery, Schenectady.
