John W. Frazer, 82, of Schenectady, died peacefully with his family at his bedside, on Monday, October 20, 2014. Born in Schenectady, John was the son of the late Mary E. Latrimore and William F. Frazer. He graduated from Mont Pleasant High School in 1952. During his high school years, John was stricken with Polio. He worked for New York State, Sealtest Foods, Schenectady Herold Printing and the City of Schenectady Parks Dept. Retiring in 1994. John was an avid bowler and golfer. He also enjoyed gardening and woodworking. But his joy in life was spending time with family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. John is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years, Eleanor Pomeroy Frazer, three children; John (Teresa) Frazer Jr. of Colonie, Kimberly (Keith) Christmas of Schenectady and Monica (Wayne) Sandilands of Glenville, one brother; Arthur J. Frazer of Scotia, his grandchildren; Alyssa LaFountain of Glenville, Kyle Frazer of Colonie, Briana Christmas of Schenectady, Courtney Frazer of Colonie, Chrishaunna Rogers of Schenectady, step grandsons; Michael (Stephanie) Sandilands and Steven Sandilands of Michigan as well as great grandchildren; Jae'Marie Ajohny and Skyler Jalis.
