John Allen DeSieno, 83, of Schenectady, passed away at home on Thursday February 26, 2026. John was born in Niskayuna on November 15, 1942, to Joseph and Mary (Cervera) DeSieno. Along with his parents, John was preceded in death by his brother, Joe DeSieno Sr. He is survived by his wife, Elaine and loving children, John DeSieno Jr., Dominic (Allison) DeSieno, Linda (Kevin) Hulett and Tina (Karen) Weekes; grandchildren, Giovanna and Isabella DeSieno, Makayla, Kevin Jr. and Andrew Hulett . In his earlier years, John served his country in the Air Force before working for over 30 years at General Electric as an inspector for the steam turbine generators. He loved spending time with his family as well as his friends playing golf or bowling. John was a member of the Rotterdam Elks and enjoyed playing bocce & darts.

Calling hours will be held Friday March 6th from 3-5 pm at DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home 1605 Helderberg Ave., Rotterdam.

A 5 pm prayer service will immediately follow to conclude the evening.

Burial, with military honors, will take place 1 pm Monday March 9th at Saratoga National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in John's honor to PGAHope.com.
