Johanna (Gaewski) Hernandez

Schenectady - Johanna Hernandez, 70, passed away on Friday November 28, 2014 at her home. Born in Germany, Johanna was the daughter of the late Iwan and Jeannette Gaewski. Johanna retired from Northeast Parent & Child Society in Schenectady with over 20 years of service. She enjoyed her time playing card games, Yahtzee and bingo with Nancy Keyser and her special friend, Krissy. Her husband, Juan Hernandez, died in 1982. Johanna is survived by her three sons, Juan (Johnny) E. Hernandez, Jr., Antonio (Tony) Hernandez and Kenny Hernandez. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren; Juan Hernandez III, Amber Hernandez, Melissa Hernandez and Dustin Hernandez. Calling hours will be held Friday from 10-12 noon at DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home 1605 Helderberg Ave., Rotterdam. A prayer service will immediately follow at 12 noon. Burial will follow in the family lot at Vale Cemetery.
