Joan Ruth (Chisholm) Keenan

Schenectady - Joan Ruth (Chisholm) Keenan passed gently on December 2, 2020. Joan was born July 18, 1935 in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Joan is the daughter of the late Mildred A. (Thompson) Mackie and George L. Chisholm; step daughter of William Mackie; sister of George L. Chisholm Jr and Mildred A. Mackie. Joan met her beloved husband of 59 years, Daniel A. Keenan while he was serving aboard the USS Hailey in Newport, Rhode Island. Dan passed in 2015. Joan is the beloved mother of Linda (David) Gannon, Diana (Bradley) Bebernitz, Daniel (JoAnn) Keenan Jr. and Beverly Keenan; the devoted grandmother of Sarah, Andrew, Nicole, Matthew, Melissa and Brett; the doting great grandmother of Kurtis, Siobhan, Tyler, Zoe, James, Kamryn and Ava. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and cousins who will miss her dearly. We love you and will miss you more than words can express. Fly high! Private services will be held.
