Joan V. Elliott

PRINCETOWN - Joan Elliott, 89, passed away peacefully on Monday February 17, 2025 at Rosewood Rehabilitation/Nursing Center in Troy NY, with her daughter Lisa by her side. Joan attended Nott Terrace High School. Born in Schenectady Joan was predeceased by her parents Rose and Ralph DeNovio, her husband Robert Elliott, her sister Dorothy DeFelice (Sam) and her brother Robert DeNovio (Joyce).

Joan is survived by her loving daughters Lisa Karandy (Mark) who Joan lived with for many years, and Gail Elden (Don) of Winterhaven Florida. Joan is the grandmother of Douglas Karandy (Carolyn), Sean Karandy, and Nicole Karandy. Joan is also survived by her loving niece Doreen DeFelice and many nieces and nephews.

Following her retirement Joan loved her trips to Florida, she loved cooking and spending time with her family. Joan was a devoted mother, and grandmother. The family would like to thank Dr. Mark Sanchez for his outstanding care and compassion, Joan said his hands are like gold.  We would like to thank all the staff at Rosewood in Troy for their compassion, and absolutely outstanding and wonderful care she received by all. Memorial calling hours will be held on Wednesday February 26th from 9 to 11am at the DeMarco Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave., Rotterdam followed by a memorial service at 11am.
