Rotterdam – Joan I. Bosher, 81, passed away on Sunday, March 13th, 2022 at Ellis Hospital. Born in Scotia, to her parents, the late Robert and Edna McCarroll, Joan moved to Schenectady and attended Central Park School and graduated from Mont Pleasant High School. She belonged to Our Lady Queen of Peace Parish. Joan worked for the federal government for 30 years. She first worked at the Army Depot in Rotterdam and later worked for the Social Security Administration in Schenectady until she retired. She was an active member of the Rotterdam Eagles No. 3610. Joan is survived by her children, Jeffrey Bosher, Matthew Bosher, Kimberly Stauber and Steven Bosher; grandchildren, Andre Epps, Maxwell Bosher and Brandon Stauber; her siblings, Susan Washburn, Patricia Colwell, Jacqueline Vinehout and Mary Lou McCarroll as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, John Bosher, and siblings, Robert McCarroll and Shirley Knights. A visitation will be held on Saturday, March 19th from 10-11am at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave., Rotterdam. A funeral service will begin at 11am. Joan will be laid to rest with her husband at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Schenectady.
