Jennifer Cortella

Rotterdam – Jennifer Lauren Cortella, 29, passed away Saturday, December 18, 2021. Born in Schenectady, to her parents Dominick Cortella and the late Eva Giannetti Cortella. Jennifer grew up in the area. She graduated from cosmetology school and enjoyed being a hairstylist. Jen loved animals, singing, drawing and loved flowers. She is survived by her father, Dominick Cortella, her brother, Jonathan Cortella, her paternal grandfather, Alberto Cortella and her maternal grandmother, Maria Mabidris. She also leaves behind many aunts, uncles and cousins. Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 3-5pm at DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave., Rotterdam. A prayer service will immediately follow at 5 pm. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Jennifer’s memory to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society or the Animal Protective Foundation.
