Jennie L (Decarlo) Pallutti

Jennie L. Pallutti, 90, passed away on Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at her home with her loving family at her side. Born in Schenectady on February 26, 1926, Jennie was the daughter of the late Giovanni (John) and Pasqua Pallenta DeCarlo. A graduate of Nott Terrace High School, Jennie worked for 15 years at General Electric before becoming a full time mother and homemaker. She was a parishioner of Our Lady Queen of Peace Church. Jennie was loved by everyone and affectionately known to many as “Aunt Jennie” or “Grandma”. She was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Her cabin at the Great Sacandaga Lake is where she loved to be. She always enjoyed cooking for a crowd and you could always find a pot of sauce with meatballs on her stove. Jennie was predeceased in 1981 by her beloved husband Anthony J. Pallutti. She was also predeceased by her brothers, Michael, Albert and Armondo DeCarlo and her sister, Angelina Allen. She leaves behind her son, James Pallutti, her daughter, Angela Toich (Robert), sisters, Gloria Pinnola of Staten Island and Santina Didio of Troy, her grandchildren, Mark Toich, Michael Toich, Scott Toich, Nicole Toich and Maria Pallutti as well as many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be on Sunday, August 28th, from 3-5pm at DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave., Rotterdam. Services will begin at 9am on Monday morning from the funeral home thence to Our Lady Queen of Peace Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30am. Interment will be in St. John’s Cemetery, Schenectady. Arrangements are by R.J. DeLuccia Funeral Service.
