Jennie J (Cammarota) Cornell

Schenectady - Jennie J. Cammarota Cornell, 93 of the Capital Living Rehabilitation Center at rest Monday January 6 at Ellis Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Joseph Cammarota and Rachel Compagnone. Jennie was a lifelong resident of Scotia. She was a clerical worker for the General Electric Company for 38 years. Jennie is survived by her son Joseph Louis Cornell of Scotia, NY along with her beloved sisters Louise Franchetti, Lydia (Danuil) Rivers, Elizabeth Humphreys, Frances (Robert) Dox, Sister-in-law Mary Commarto, godmother of Diane Marco and Dorothy Adams along with several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents Jenny is predeceased by her beloved husband of 39 years Sebastian Cornell who passed away in 1986. She is also predeceased by her brothers Tomaso and Samuel Cammarota, and James Commarto; sisters Theresa Van Wagner, Mary Barratiere, Viola Pone, and Margaret Marco.Calling hours to, which relatives and friends are invited, will be held on Thursday from 10:00am to 11:00am at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave., Rotterdam. Funeral services will begin at the funeral home at 11 am. Burial will follow the servicesat St. John's Cemetery, Schenectady. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial donations be made to Capital Rehabilitation and Living Center, 526 Altamont Ave, Schenectady, NY 12303.
