Rotterdam – Jeannine Clarisse Robbins, 87, passed away on Saturday, July 1st, 2017 at the Palatine Nursing Home. Born in Albany, Jeannine was the daughter of the late Amable and Aldea (Cardinal) Beaudry. Jeannine was a wonderful wife to Fenton Robbins who predeceased her in 2014 and mother to her four children. In her younger years she loved roller-skating, which is where she met her husband, Fenton. She loved to cook and care for her home. She was a competitive card and game player. Jeannine also enjoyed many years in Schroon Lake helping her husband build their summer home with their family. During those years she also became an accomplished water skier. When her husband retired, she enjoyed travelling the country with him in their motor home and spent many years with him as snowbirds in Florida. She loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, all of whom brought her great joy. Jeannine is predeceased by her husband, Fenton Alvin Robbins, Jr. and one brother, Ronald Beaudry. Jeannine leaves behind her children, Dennis S. Robbins, James A. Robbins (Marlene), Richard P. Robbins (Lorri) and Sheryl D. Lavigne (Thomas), her grandchildren, Margaret O’Dea (Andrew), Rebekah Robbins, Zachary Robbins (Samantha), Ryan Robbins and Arabelle Robbins, her great grandchildren, Keila O’Dea, Delaney O’Dea, William O’Dea and Thalia Robbins as well as her brother, Norman Beaudry (Sally Ann). Calling hours will be held on Thursday, July 6th from 5:30-7:30pm at DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave., in Rotterdam. Funeral services will begin on Friday at 10am at the funeral home. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Park in Colonie. We want to thank the staff at both Ingersoll Place (Niskayuna) and Palatine Nursing Home (Palatine Bridge) for their exceptional love and care for Jeannine over the last few years. Their patience, care and affection have not gone unnoticed or unappreciated by the family. We cannot thank you enough for all you have done for us.
