Jeanne I (Maxwell) Greiner

Schenectady – Jeanne I. Greiner, 86, passed away suddenly on Friday October 13, 2017. Born in Schenectady, she was the daughter of George and Isabel Maxwell. She was a 1949 graduate of Mont Pleasant High School. A lifelong Schenectady resident, Jeanne retired in 1991 from the General Electric Co. after 38 years of service. A lifelong member of State St. Presbyterian Church, Jeanne was very active in Church and was a former member of the Board of Trustees. Jeanne loved her friends, going to the movies and dining out at the Blue Ribbon Diner. Her kindness and thoughtfulness will be missed by those she touched. Along with her parents, Jeanne was predeceased by her husband of 56 years, Charles H. Greiner (2005). She is survived by several cousins, nieces, nephews and many close friends. The family extends their special thanks to the Ellis Hospital emergency room and C6 staffs. Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 5-7 pm at DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home 1605 Helderberg Ave., Rotterdam. Funeral services will be held 10 am Thursday at State St. Presbyterian Church 5 Catherine St., Schenectady, NY 12307. Entombment will follow at Schenectady Memorial Park, Rotterdam. Memorial contributions may be made to State St. Presbyterian church.
