Jeane H Waldron

Schenectady – Jeane H. Waldron, 73, passed away Saturday May 26, 2018 after a short battle with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. Born in Niskayuna on December 5, 1944, she was the daughter of Roland Waldron and Jeanne (Levasseur) Waldron-Bonk. A lifelong Schenectady county resident, Jeane was a 1963 graduate of Scotia-Glenville High School and a 1988 graduate of the College of St. Rose, B.A., Magna Cum Laude. She worked for Macy’s Department Store from 1990-2011 and also for Capital Region BOCES from 2001-2018 before retiring. Jeane loved the time she spent with her children and grandchildren. She was quick to laugh, very thoughtful, and always compassionate. She enjoyed visiting Cape Cod to be near the ocean and was a devoted supporter of PBS. Jeane’s love of flowers and plants was her lifelong passion, and everywhere she lived and worked she made more beautiful just by being there. She is survived by her son; Michael Cerrone of Schenectady, NY, two daughters; Alecia (Jack) Mackin of Bethany, CT, and Nina (Dominick) LeMorta of Glenville, NY, three grandchildren; Dominick, Andrew and Victoria LeMorta – all three of whom were the twinkle in her eyes, three sisters; Mary-Rose Waldron of Uniondale, NY, Rita Waldron of New York City, NY and Ellen Waldron Martinez of San Angelo, TX, and many nieces and nephews. Along with her parents and her mother’s second husband Paul Bonk, Jeane was predeceased by her brothers; David and Christopher, two nephews, and a niece. The family extends their special thanks to all of Jeane’s coworkers at BOCES and Macy’s, and to all of her friends for their support. Heartfelt thanks to her hospice care professionals Donna, Kristen, Kim and Emily. Calling hours will be held Saturday June 16, 2018 from 9:30 am – 12 pm at DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home 1605 Helderberg Ave., Rotterdam. A memorial service will immediately follow at 12 pm.
