Jean E (Engvold) Hartman

Schenectady – Jean Hartman, 91, passed away on Tuesday, November 9, 2021. Jean was born in Schenectady on November 20, 1929, a daughter of the late John and Emiline Miller Engvold. She graduated from Draper High School and was employed at G.E. later working at Campbell Plastics until her retirement. She enjoyed spending time at Sacandaga Lake and with family and friends. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandsons. She was predeceased by her husband Russell Hartman, sister Helen (Hal) Burroughs, brother John Engvold, sister-in-law Louise Engvold and grandson Devin Hartman. Jean is survived by her loving family, son Glenn (Carmela) Hartman, daughters, Gayle Leary and Cheryl (Peter) LaCagnina, grandsons Joshua and Kevin Leary, Jacob and Peter LaCagnina and Andrew Hartman. Her sister Margaret (the late Herman) Zitzmann, friends Betty & Marge, who worked with her for many years and Cathy who spent every Saturday having breakfast at the Bellevue Café. The family would like to thank the Heritage Home for Women and Baptist Health (H3) for the kindness and care shown for Jean and her family in her last days. Calling hours will be held Monday from 10am-12noon at DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home 1605 Helderberg Ave., Rotterdam. A 12 noon funeral service will immediately follow. Jean will be laid to rest at Memory Gardens, Colonie.
