Janice A (Janiga) Lowell

Janice A. Lowell, 74, of Schenectady, passed away at home on Wednesday, February 18, 2015. Janice was born and raised in Halfmoon, NY, the daughter of the late Benjamin and Pearl Janiga. She worked as a landscaper for the Ramada Inn in Schenectady for many years.But most of her life was spent as a homemaker, dedicating her life to raising her children and granddaughters. Janice is survived by her longtime companion and "Buddeee", Judith A, Eldred, her daughter; Shanalou (Frank ) Alberti of Niskayuna, her step daughter; Terri (Jesse) Overton of North Carolina, two sons; Thomas B.(Theresa) Lowell ofCarlisle, NY and William A. Lowell of Schenectady, her sisters; Deborah (Mark) VanSwoll of Florida, Gladys Rosa of Flordia and her brother; Jacob Janiga of Schenectady, as well as nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She will be missed, but she is home with the Lord, and we rejoice as she is no longer dealing with the pain she suffered with for the last eighteen months. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, 4-7 pm at Trinity Baptist Church, 2635 Balltown Rd. Funeral services will begin at 7 pm at the church. A graveside committal service will be held in the spring at Clifton Park Village Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Trinity Baptist Church, 2635 Balltown Rd.
