Schenectady – Janet M. Lynch, 86, passed away at home on Thursday, February 9th, 2017. Born in Detroit, Michigan on October 21st, 1930, Janet was the daughter of the late William and Janet Howe. Janet was raised and educated in Syracuse, NY. She graduated from high school and business school there and later met her husband, Frank Lynch at General Electric there. They were married in 1952. Janet and Frank raised their family in Whitesboro, NY where Janet was a homemaker and volunteered with the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts and the American Legion Auxiliary. Janet and Frank moved to Delanson in 1988 to be closer to their grandchildren. Janet enjoyed quilting, puzzles, knitting, bird watching and her beloved pets. She was a member of Our Lady of Fatima in Delanson. She enjoyed volunteering and visiting friends at the Duanesburg Senior Meal Site. Since moving to Kingsway's Parkland Gardens Janet was grateful for her newfound friends and spent many happy times playing cards and games. Janet is survived by her belovedhusband of 64 years, Frank, her loving children, Donna (Bob) Vincent, Debbie Cox, Rick (Melody) Lynch and David Lynch. Her loving grandchildren, Michael (Rebecca) Vincent, Kevin (Christine) Vincent, Timely (Samantha) Cox, Julia Cox, Sophie (Brian) Sasser, Joseph (Debbie) Clark and Curtis (Jennifer) Clark as well as her 5 great grandchildren, Brandon, Savannah, Ireland, Duncan and Isobel and her great great grandson, Blake. She also leaves her wonderful aide Darlene Smith who provided loving careto Janet. A visitation will be held on Monday, February 13th, from 10-11am at DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave., Rotterdam. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Funeral services will begin at 11am. Inurnment will take place at Saratoga National Cemetery at a later date.
