ROTTERDAM - Janet D. Lontrato, 81, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday April 14, 2024 surrounded by her beloved family. She was born on August 22, 1942 to the late Robert J. and Ethel A. Countermine Sweet. After graduating high school, she married Anthony R. Lontrato. She worked at Carl Company as the head of receiving before becoming a homemaker. Janet was a Girl Scout Leader for five years, was a huge fan of baseball, especially of the NY Yankees, loved watching her granddaughters dance competitions, and was an avid bingo player.
Janet is survived by her husband, Anthony R. Lontrato; her children, Sheryl (Doug) Collins and Guy Lontrato; her grandchildren; Tony Toland, Kaitlin Hallmark, Helen Sweeney, and Joanne Lontrato; her great-grandchildren, Haley Lontrato, Gavin Wrighton, Charlotte Toland, Cloe Sweeney, and Carrie Sweeney; her great-great-grandchild, Ashton Lontrato; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Roberta LaGrange.
As per her wishes, all services will be private.
