Rotterdam – Mrs. Jane Doulin Casso, age 85, of Rotterdam, passed away peacefully at home, in the early morning hours of Saturday November 26, 2016, surrounded by family after a two year battle with cancer. A native of Schenectady and graduate of the former Draper High School, Mrs. Casso worked in the accounts payable department at GE after raising her four children. A loving wife, mother, grandma, and great-grandma, she loved traveling, going to lunch, and cheering the Yankees to victory. Mrs. Casso is predeceased by her parents James and Mary Doulin, brothers, James Doulin and Robert Doulin, sisters and brothers-in-law, Marion and Thomas Perry and Diane and Emmett Duncan, and brother-in-law Ted Greene. Survivors include her husband of 66 years, John Casso. Three sons, John (Nancy) Casso of Rotterdam, Ron (Gail) Casso of Mayfield, Gary (Nancy) Casso of Rotterdam. Her daughter, Linda Christie (James Wilkins) of Rochester. 13 grandchildren & 10 great grandchildren. Brothers and sisters-in-law, William and Karen Doulin of Brooksville, FL and Richard and Gretchen Doulin of Brooksville, FL Sister, Karen Greene of Schenectady. Sister-in-law, Joan Doulin of Clifton Park. Jane is also survived by many nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend special thanks to Peggy of Community Hospice of Schenectady. Calling hours will be held Thursday December 1, 2016 from 9-11 am at DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home 1605 Helderberg Ave., Rotterdam. An 11 am funeral service will immediately follow. Burial will be at St. Cyril’s Cemetery.
