Schenectady – Our lives changed forever on September 22nd, 2017 when we had to say goodbye to our Dad for now. Jim was born on February 4th, 1926 to the late Thomas E. and Irene Keough. He attended Schenectady Schools and upon graduation served in World War II as a naval Seabee stationed in Guam. Upon coming home he married the love of his life, the late Antoinette DasCola, whom he shared 56 years with. Jim worked in the electrical field being a member of IBEW Local 166 for 45 years, retiring at 65 from St. Clare’s Hospital. He belonged to the Amateur Radio Club of Schenectady, his call sign was WA2RPS, the Knights of Columbus, Hibernians and was a member of the Bonsai Society. In addition to his parents and his wife, he was predeceased by his brother Daniel Keough and sister, Patricia Woods. Jim is survived by 3 children, Thomas (Sandy) of Rotterdam, Robert (Ursula) of Rotterdam and Diane (Jim) Izzo of Glenville, 6 grandchildren; Patrick (Susan) of Rotterdam, Christopher (Aimee) of Scotia, Julie (Brian) Bouck of Schenectady, Erin (David) Allen of Scotia, Melissa Hildreth of Saratoga and Steven Hildreth of Schenectady, 7 great grandchildren: Nicholas, Joshua, Gavin, Caleb, Gavin, Brady and Addison, and several nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Wednesday evening, from 6-8pm at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave. in Rotterdam. Funeral services will begin on Thursday, 9:15 am from the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am at St. Madeleine Sophie Church, 3500 Carman Rd., Guilderland. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Entombment will take place at the Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery Mausoleum in Niskayuna.
