James P Galvin Sr

Albany, NY. James Patrick Galvin Sr. age 68 passed away on Tuesday September 30, 2025, at Albany Medical Center surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Schenectady, NY. He was the son of the late Peter J. and Delores (Hubert) Galvin. James was predeceased by his grandson Zak, his brothers John and Pete.

James is survived by his beloved son, James Patrick Jr and (Jennifer) Galvin and his grand daughter Olivia. He is also survived by his siblings, Linda and (Bill) Gauvin, Nancy Florio, Michael Galvin, Mary and (Robert) Lamay, Susan Impellizzeri, George Galvin, Bill and (Judy) Galvin and Charley and (Lisa) Galvin along with many nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by many.

James loved spending time with his grandchildren and family. He loved taking bike rides with his brother when the opportunity arose. James was self-employed for many years along with working Pede Brothers, Canali’s, Scotia theater and the Rotterdam theater.

We would like to thank the Grand and Barnwell for caring for Jim in his final weeks.

A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, from 5-7pm at the Demarco-Stone Funeral Home 1605 Helderberg Ave, Rotterdam, NY.
