Rotterdam – James R. Dominelli, 95, passed away peacefully Monday morning at Ellis Hospital. Born in Schenectady, He was the son of Anthony and Helen Dominelli. He was a graduate of Draper High School. James served our country during World War II in the U. S. Navy as a Machinist Mate 1. He began working for the General Electric Co. in 1941, retiring in 1984 with over 40 years of service. He was a communicant of Our Lady Queen of Peace Parish. His wife, Marie passed away in 2007. He is survived by his son, James A. Dominelli and his wife Angela of Rotterdam. His brother, Albert Dominelli of Rotterdam. He is also survived by 2 nieces and a nephew. A Mass of Christian Burial, to which relatives and friends are invited, will be celebrated 9:30 am Wednesday at Our Lady Queen of Peace Parish, 210 Princetown Rd., Rotterdam. There will be no calling hours. Burial will be in St. Cyril’s Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in James’ memory to the American Heart Association, 440 New Karner Rd., Albany, NY 12205.
