James W Davidson

Guilderland - James W. Davidson (79) passed away on November 29, 2022 at the Ellis R & R Center in Schenectady after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. He was born in Cincinnati, OH son of Wilson Davidson (Lenora) and Mildred Davidson-Metzger (Harold). Jim graduated High School in Rye, NY. Shortly after High school he met Mary Lynne who would soon become his wife and they settled in the Schenectady area. They celebrated 60 years of marriage this past May. Besides his loving wife, Jim leaves behind his 2 daughters: Cathleen D. (Joe) Righi and Diana L. (John) Ackner. Also 3 granddaughters: Miranda R. Rivas, Margaret Mary Righi and Grace Lynne Ackner and nieces andnephews. He was predeceased by his sister Judith D. Visco. Jim worked at RPI for 25 years before retiring. He enjoyed playing golf and was a professional bowler and was an avid sports fan. He was a great husband, father and grandfather and will be missed by all of us. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to The Alzheimer’s Foundation or your local APF (Animal Protective Foundation). A Memorial service will be held at The First Reformed Church of Scotia, 224 N. Ballston Ave, Scotia, NY on Thursday, December 8, 2022 at 11 AM with a gathering after the service.
