James B. Martin

Rotterdam – James B. Martin, 75, passed away Friday June 27, 2025. Born in Niskayuna on September 1, 1949 he was the son of John and Catherine (Mantello) Martin.
James was a Vietnam veteran serving in the 101st Airborne division and was a Purple Heart recipient. Following his time in the Army James was a police officer retiring from the Schenectady Police Department.
He is survived by his wife Sandra Martin.
Two sons Shane and Brian Martin.
Brothers Bruce A. (Janice) Martin and Daniel Martin.
James is also survived by his brother-in-law Michael Tripoli and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held Monday July 7th from 10:30-12 noon at DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home 1605 Helderberg Ave., Rotterdam.
Burial with military honors will follow at Saratoga National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donation may be made in james’ memory to tunnel to Towers Foundation (www.t2t.org)
