Isabell A (Devito) James

Isabell Girard James, 86 of Schenectady, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on Saturday, June 29, 2013. Isabell was a lifelong resident of Schenectady and a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church. She was the daughter of the late Dominick and Mary Pitcherale DeVito.Isabell was also predeceased by her husbands; Kenneth W. Girard who passed away in 1961, and her husband of 42 years, Willard "Pete" James, who passed away in 2010, two sons; Terry Girard who passed away in 1996, Ronald (Pat) Girard, who passed away in 2011, and her brothers; Robert DeVito and Dominick DeVito. She is survived by her children, Kenneth (Joanie) Girard of Rotterdam, Thomas (Grace) Girard of Milton, Mary (Frank) Van Buren of Delanson, Joni (Dan) Loucks of Schenectady, Marion (Ernie) Lamarre of Rensselaer, her "Special Granddaughter" Lynn Bouteiller of Milton, one sister; Josephine (Dominick) Califano of Schenectady, 22 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held on Friday, 6-8 pm at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave. Funeral services will begin on Saturday morning, 9 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery.
